Having a banner appear when flash isn't installed

I have a flash banner that I want to upload onto my site. However, I want a regular banner to show up on computers that don't have flash installed. How do I go about doing this?

You can add an image that is displayed if no flash is available

You can use an animated gif the same dimension as the movie.

What do you mean by animated gif? I mean, I planned on inserting a static banner.

You can convert your static banner in to animated banner. Animated Gifs will show simple animations. For this Flash player is not required. Computers that have no flash installed will show animated Gifs. I normally design animated gifs in Imageready (Comes with photoshop and it is part of photoshop). Search google for Gif animation tutorials. If you still want to know more I will post more details.
