Health and Fitness blog 71 articles making less than $25/month - need help

I started a new health and fitness blog in March 2014 and so far I have written 71 unique articles. The traffic is growing slowly, last month it got only 2000 visitors. One third of those come from search engines and one third from Pinterest and the remaining was direct traffic.

how can I increase traffic? Whenever I publish a new article I bookmark it with: reddit, stumbleupon, tumbler, digg and delicious. I also publish to my facebook page and twitter page with hash tags. I only have 400 fans and 1200 followers.

how can I increase social media traffic? I have read many people from this forum that have health and fitness blog with less than 100 articles and getting over 1000 visitors a day! I am only getting 70.

kindly advice me in how to get more social media traffic please

Hello! You could try to engage your fans in someway, ask questions, engage them to comment and share your articles. You can also offer them the opportunity to create content, if they have a relevant story of how they lost weight or some raw vegan recipes or anything related to fitness, invite them to contribute. In this way they will feel much more willing to share the article, being their own work. Also the giveaways idea could bring you more fans. Good luck!

 

One simple thing that can make your trafic increase !
You say you have these unique articles and I asume they are high quality ones. Get a content locker and set it out for the last part of the article. So if the people want to read the whole thing they need to share it first.

You can use the e-newsletter options. You can try with free e-mail marketing company, like mailchimp, constantcontact. It is found that direct mail to the inbox more effective response to open your link and thereby more visitor in your website. You can use a email subscription form on your site (see sample on my site disa4dev(dot)org to increase the mail list. Now collect email of your own and send your new article every week. It is my experience that if you send to 1000, you will get 20% response of click your link.
