    Your site is nice. You get more traffic if you will get more backlinks from respectful sites. You can ask them for link exchange. You can made a FB site to your webpage and share on facebook. You can make video about your site, post it to youtube and share this video on your FP page too.

    What's your point of difference? - it looks like the pligg sites that were all the rage about 5 years ago so you need a sharp angle if you want it to take off.

    When you wrote your business plan for the site what niche did you expect to do well in?

    If you want more traffic you can use youTube videos, e-mail signature, social media sites, blog posting, forums, etc.

    Don't focus on only social media traffic, you should focus on other methods of getting traffic too, you can use forums as well, forums are good to get targeted traffic to your website.

    Make it more attractive and user friendly
    Put discussions areas
    Chat and video conference
    Should be some entertaining like, games, music, ringtones etc.

    There are several methods you can use when promoting your site. Some are...

    - Forums
    - Blog commenting
    - Guest posting
    - Writing articles
    - SEO
    - Creating newsletters
    - Social Bookmarking
    - Blogging
    - Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube)

    The trick is to pick 2 methods you believe you would enjoy doing then stick to only those methods. Once you see results move to to 2 new methods.

    After you have tried every method discard the ones that are not producing results - and focus on the ones that are.

    I think you need to work on your content first and on the design and layout of the site. The design and layout makes the site look like it's an old site. As for your articles, they seem to be a mix of this and that. I suggest you identify your market first, so that you have an idea of what content your target market likes. This helps you determine what to put on your site.

    There are plenty of link building methods you can do in order to get traffic to your site but I think you should improve the site first, before moving on to promoting it.
