    hi guys,
I've been following a lot of adsense comments recently and a couple of months ago decided to see if i could make myself some extra $$ with adsense.
I thought i'd be able to make more than i actually have done and therefore wondering whether I'm doing something wrong?

    http://www.ecampsite.co.uk/somerset.php

Would you please be able to have a look at one of the pages on my site and let me know if i've got it all wrong??

    Much appreciated..

    Craig

Nice looking site Craig. Is it new? How new? This could affect how much traffic you get. Be patient with this. Google will crawl your site deeper soon as long as you SEO ethics are in place.

I do suggest placing your Google ads straight underneath your banner. Maybe even change your ads to a banner instead of the small buttons you have down the side. I have done this with all my sites and it makes a huge difference!

Considering blending a horizontal text link unit under your navigation menu, and adding a vertical skyscraper on the left.

Blend the ad unit by having no blue border.

    Hi Craig,

I think you have a nice looking site. :) Here are some things to consider with respect to your AdSense ads:

    1. Place ads above the fold (i.e. above where visitors have to scroll to see them).

    2. Make your ads blend with your content by exactly matching the colors of your site, i.e. AdSense links should match website links, AdSense text should match website text, etc.

    3. Use the Google Heat Map (see AdSense Support) to determine the best locations for your ads.

    Best of luck. :)

Cheers guys for your feedback. I now use the longer banner down the side of the screen and will look further into blending and test different variations.
Trial and error is a good thing i think!

    Cheers
