    How often does it happen?

Does it happen after your computer had been running for some time?

Have you checked that all of your cooling fans are working properly?

how could pc is off but cpu is still running? A black screen doesn't mean it is off
get the latest driver. And how about directX? Do you have the uptodate one?

I think most likely its an driver issue. Uninstall the current drivers and update them using the disk that came with the card.

    Drivers could've been corrupted.
