    Hey people,

    Rite now im confused.

See i am planning to take up paid hosting and my budget is 10$/month

I surfed the net and came across hostgator web hosting plan.

There current plan i.e Baby Plan includes following :

    5gb diskspace.
    75gb bandwidth.
    Unlimited domain hosting.
Cpanel + all the standard features + unlimited databases and unlimited pop3 accounts.

Im getting this for 9.95$/month which is well in my budget. + its monthly payment.

So my question is : is this kinda offer Cheap or Costly!?
Also howz the reputation of Hostgator as such.

Ne help would be much appreciated!

Not sure about hostgator, never used them although I have been tempted to before.
The price is good, but sorry I can't reply if the hosting is good or not :(

Currently one host that I've had nothing but good luck with, 'good tech support, etc' is http://www.pro-net-hosting.com which offers a reseller account in your monthly budget.

asmallorange definitely has a good reputation around digital point. I can't say that I've ever used hostgator, but I seem to remember them having a not-so-good reputation for customer support. Check webhostingtalk.com - they've been a good place for info and research for me in the past.

    They are over-selling for sure

if they actually reserved the entire 5 gigs per client...
On a standard 80g hard-drive, the actual space is always less, then you subtract OS and software, that might leave 70g of space, they could probably fit 14 of these packages at 10/month... $140 revenue per server.
For sure it costs them alot more than that, to keep the server running.:)

I use HostGator for most of my sites and I'm very happy with them.

They're support team is awesome, even if you email them you'll get a response in less than an hour usually. But they also have 24 hour live chat and call center setup.

Best customer service I've seen in a web host so far.
