    I am planning to create a site where only registered[payment to be made for registeration] members can view the content [not really a content but a service] i don't want to use joomla and mambo.can you recommend a script may be free or priced.

    You could try the Subdreamer CMS, it's not free and does have a hefty price tag. But it does have a usergroup permissions system that you could manipulate for your payment service.

    You have the option to integrate with a forum such as Invision Power Board, Vbulletin and other, but you can use it without forum. I use at my website integrated with IPB.
