    traffic:

    - submit to web directories
    - promote in forums (not only DP, try ebaumsworld forums it got alot and i mean alot of audience)
    - exchange links to popular sites with the same niche as yours (if they allow)
    - submit articles (ezinaarticles, articlecity) and promote your site
    - concentrate on 1 site and follow what I've said above (until you're satisfied with what you've earned, then it's time to make another site)
    - patience

    Some basics-

#1 most important- get some kind of tracking program- I prefer asrep or adsense tracker- otherwise you can't experiment and see what works best

you can start with people's opinions about what to do, but then start testing.

As for MHO... I don't like sites that don't clearly establish their identity BEFORE showing ads- and I mean before and after in terms of where the eye normally goes-

    1. upper left
    2. headline and/or leftnav
    3. main content

For me, your ads confuse the purpose of the sites a bit.

But again, opinion is opinion- learn best practices and then start testing.
