And you should have submitted to at least 5,000 search engines.
Last time I checked there're actually like 500,000 of them or so, so you got some work to do..

Instead of submitting to SE's you might try submitting to directories instead (google "strongestlinks"), it's a way of getting free one way backlinks and more backlinks = better rankings/ more chance a REAL person actually clicks on it to visit your site.

Oh and one more thing; patience is a real virtue in the SEO game...

 

submitting your site will only get you on a waiting list, get some quality inbound links with targeted anchor texts.

 

And remember, there is no other better form of marketing than word of mouth, or in this case, words from fingers... so make a damn good site so your visitors would recommend to their friends.

 

Submitting your site to millions of search engines won't probably even make a difference. Why? Almost all people now-a-das use Google, Yahoo, or MSN or just the popular ones.

 

well, for starters, you need to know that "submit" has a "B" in it.

and like everyone else said, submitting into search engines won't help if you don't have the quality content to make visitors visit your site again.

No really long articles won't help. I'd try to aim for no more than 500 words on apage.

 

I ve got index it in 3 days by yahoo, google and msn, don't use those services which is telling you that will have alot of traffic from thoundsands of search engines. create a good website and ping your website every time when you add new content, submit to directories. try godaddy trafic blazer, i am using and is worthing for 30 dollars a year.
