Help! Why an I getting images in my adsense if I selected text only?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by Ellen C. Braun, Mar 17, 2006.

Ok, I used to get text only adsense, and everything was cool on my parenting site.

Today, I woke up and I'm getting image ads with green clouds- is it cuz of St Patricks day?

Anyway, I went back to my Adsense account, and got new code for TEXT ADS ONLY, and the green won't go away!

    Please Help!

    Thanks,

    Ellen

Those are not image ads. Google offers seasonal ads on some occasions. They've had something similar for christmas e.g.
You can disable the seasonal ads in the "My account" tab.

It may take a little bit of time for them to change. They will be gone tomorrow anyway.

I would just leave them. They will be gone after the holiday and might help your click thru while they are there.

The seasonal ads are still text ads - except for the background image. To disable seasonal ads, you have to uncheck the appropriate setting. I don't know how the setting is named in an English interface as mine is in German, but it should be the last setting and the only checkbox in there.
