Help with my First Adsense account

    Hi all,
    I am currently trying to set up an adsense account for my site. I was under the impression that you get adverts that are relevant to your sites content. When i go through the setup pages of adsense, i can not see anywhere that i can state what type of adverts i want to use! I run a freebie/competition site and would like relevant adverts.

    All i seem to get at the moment is Public Service ads requesting donations to a hurricane fund!

    Any help would be appreciated

    Be patient.. let the adsense bot crawl ur contents.. Soon you will see relevent ads appearing on your pages..

    give it a l;ittle time. googel needs to send the media bot to scan your site and decide what ads to show. try refreshing after a few mins,and prob. those PSAs will go away.

    Also, sometoime you see PSA if your page has no real text content

    It takes atleast 5-10 may be a day to get relevent ads on new account. After 1st releven ads show up the ad showup time reduces to even few seconds so dont worry and give adsense bots some time.

    Thanks for this, I was not aware that they scan your site after set up.

    I will run them for a day or so and see if they change.

    Hello, make sure you do a bit of keyword research so that your ads displayed are targeted for the highest ads possible.
