Help with my forum.

I put up my forum http://www.boardertalk.com last week and I just started my google ads about 7 days ago. I got 1,000 impressions one day, but I'm down to about 150-250 impressions a day now. I only have a small banner in the top right corner, is that a good spot to have? I had a large adsense banner under the logo but I didn't know if that blended to well.

I tried adding the ads to the last post on each forum, but I couldn't get it to work right.

I'm willing to hold on to this site for at least a year so I can do alot of stuff to expand with it.

Any comments or suggestions on the site?

Boards are tough in the beginning. Try creating a bunch of 'members' your self and create some chatter to get things going. If it looks like there is action on your site, you might have a better chance of keeping newcomers

    Site looks nice.

Thanks, but when should I be looking for income? How many clicks do I need a day to make money is another question I have.

    the site looks great.

Also changing the header adsense ads' link color to blue may help.

Why don't you put "Inline ads". They automatically add after the first post. Dunno about VB, but am sure there will be some mods which will do this for ya.
