Hiatus: How to Maintain Site While Away

I was wondering, I have to be away for a while but I don't want to lose the PR I've built over the past few months.

With SE being so fickle I'm creating a plan of attack to make sure I continue updating my site even though I won't be able to put in the normal days.

I was wondering, has anyone had to take time off a site and if so, how did you maintain status.

No miracle cures, no quick-fixes. Just trying to plan in as much as I can and still be realistic that I won't have as much site time as I'm used to.

    Thanks!

Well depending on the site, if you're using a blog system or a cms, you might be able to create the content before leaving, and let it drip on specific dates while you're away, to keep content updating while you're gone.

I have actually had some good luck with hiring interns. I have found that you can put a request out on Craig's List and find several qualified college students that are willing to earn a little extra income while helping you out.

You have to be a bit picky, but I've had real good luck so far.

Thank you. Both of those options I'll keep in mind.

Actually, this entire week I have been focused on creating content for just that reason, to publish slowly over the next few weeks. I've built a good article set, now to the revisions...

I've also kept my eye open for hiring help if it comes to that. I'd definately be picky. It's my reputation on the line!

Thanks for your feedback. I feel as though I'm moving in the right direction.
