    Hello all,

I have a PC in my office and a laptop I'd like to network. Both are setup for Wifi... My DSL Modem is in the baby's room (stupid phone jack isn't in office since I though I was going to be on cable... stupid story). DSL Modem is wi-fi compatible... I have a router that I haven't hooked up yet (and will probably be the solution I'm looking for).

When I try to setup the wireless network it requires that one of the computers be connected to the DSL Modem to be secure... that's not going to happen. If I hook up my Router to the modem will this solve my problem? (I would just do it now, but I'm at work and figured I'd ask first)

Yes, it does. Most routers have their own firewall. Also use the router in wep (encrypted) mode.

Thanks. I'm running WEP right now. I'll make sure I run it on the router as well.
    Thanks for the confirmation Gworld.
