It's for national security!! Security from 6 year olds!! I hope you all feel safe now ;)

Everyone put your little flags back on your cars and tell all your friends how great it is to be American, because homeland security just stopped 6-year old terrorists from getting inside NASA! :p

Damn some people need to get off their horse. It isn't about 6 year olds, it's about keeping foreigners out of high risk areas for attacks. Sure, those kids are probably not going to pose any sort of threat, but if people tried to make exceptions for every little request then you can image how much time that would take.

I've got no problem with it, and anyone that thinks it's a problem just isn't looking at the whole picture.

That is ridiculous. You're a coward if you're willing to sacrifice freedom (especially little kids freedom) for the illusion that you're safe from "terrorism"...

Anyone that thinks keeping 6 year olds out of a NASA field trip is making you safer is an idiot. What do you think that's going to do to those kids? Because 2 of the kids in the class were foriegn the entire trip was cancelled, so these kids already facing the hardship of being from an outside country now get an early start at facing descrimination... way to go!

And on another note, why are we letting illegal aliens flood in by the 10's of thousands every single day?

Because politicians are politicians. Its a potential voter base for one side and a cheap labor force for the other :p

I don't know about the illegal aliens part. Maybe you should write your Democratic and Republican Congressman and find out why in the last 20 years this has been happening.

Or are you going to blame this one on entirely Bush too?

That's what I'm talking about. It's not about the little kids, nobody sent a request to some bureaucrat asking whether that class could access Nasa. It's a blanket rule that says NO ONE at all can access it. Stop making it about the kids, some people just love stirring shit up...

You want to complain about Nasa being too chicken to let people into their facility, go ahead. But, don't make it sound as though someone singled a kindergarden class out.

Did you even read the article? 400 school classes attend every year. The homeland security rule says NO FORIEGNERS can attend. Therefor, they're stopping only foriegn kids in the class from going, but instead the class just cancelled the trip.

NASA doesn't have a choice, they have to obey homeland security's rules. Are you sure you read anything I posted or are you the one that "just love stirring shit up"??? ;)

I read the article just fine. Your article said the trip was cancelled due to homeland security concerns, of which it's safe to assume that the policy was put into place by Nasa to protect their facility. And by 'NO ONE at all' I certainly hope you could tell the sentence was referring to the group in question. Stop trying to pick apart any hidden meaning behind my statement, that's not good form.

The bottom line is that their is a policy that restricts high risk access to NASA's Visitor Center. The policy is blanket to all non-US citizens, not to kindergardners. Why would you make this a Governement -vs- foreign kindergardners when that's clearly not the case?

You do stuff like this alot, I'm not I stirring the pot - I'm simply questioning your motives for the many threads like this you start. Nearly every post you make is Anti-American, the government is corrupt, elections are rigged, etc. etc. If you hate America so much why don't you just leave?

There, I highlighted it for you, since you can't seem to read it any other way...

“It was just a policy that came down from the Homeland Security Department,” said Chief Community and Media Relations Officer Linda Dukes-Campbell. “We are a federal reservation, and we have to work within those ramifications.”

So, after you actually read the entire article and see where they stated "a policy that came down from HOMELAND SECURITY DEPARTMENT" how in the wolrd do you come up with "its safe to assume that the policy was put into place by NASA"??????

I'll take that as judgment error since I've already proven your lack of reading skills...

    I'm not anti-american, i'm anti-corruption and anti-stupid-americans-who-don't-question-anything. There is a difference.

So because the government is corrupt, and elections are rigged, etc ... you can conclude that means "I hate america" .... you're a regular genious aren't you?

Well, you had it in big red bold letters:

"had to be canceled due to homeland security concerns"

duh. Once again, stop picking my stuff apart and dodging the issue. Read my previous two posts. You've spent half this thread trying to point out that it wasn't Nasa it was the Government who made the rule... when instead you should be asking yourself why your turning this into a Governement -vs- foreign kids and the vast majority of your posts are about conspiracy theories and America is corrupt.

    Your worse than Anthony!

I'm sorry if bold letters confuse you, maybe next time read it twice?

    Because you keep denying it...

Probably because I think America is a country worth trying to save? Maybe because I want to spread the word, and maybe because I hope that one day things will change?? With people like you standing in the way, maybe I shouldn't have any hope...

Only one party controls the government right now. I'm attacking the government, not the party.
