    Hey.

I have few accounts with hostgator and two of them were down during different periods of time today and yestarday. Which means all the sites on those account were offline for some time

I contacted support they didn't tell what's the problem, but told it should be resolved soon.

So I'm curious if you noticed anything too.

I had this problem to about 3 months ago and all they say is " it should be resolved soon ".
But now I don't have any downtime anymore ( not that I know ) and their support is great.

So I stay with them till I can pay a dedicated server.

yeah their support is very good..

Right now my sites are down too.. it happens every hour or so and for like 5 minutes, everything is offline.. strange

I have 4-5 accounts with hostgator, and so far they were very good I must say.. only now I'm experiencing slow loading times

I've been hosted with hostgator for over a year now and I've been experiencing my first downtime with them recently. It's come at a bad time as I'm selling my site. I must say that their support is very fast though.

I've never had a problem with downtime since switching to them in late '04. Just the other day though the email servers seemed to be having issues. But it worked itself out w/in about 30 minutes. I love HostGator and can't imagine switching.

Yesterday, I got the worst type of downtime with hostgator - I had my account suspended. I didn't realize that they don't accept proxy sites in their TOS. I had the domain hosted there for about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm sure that the bandwidth I was using factored into it - about 5gb daily. BTW, if anyone can direct me asap to a reliable, fast host that accepts proxy sites it would be greatly appreciated.
