Hosting accounts with Cpanel+Fantastico, advantages ?

Some webhosts have Cpanel + Fantastico....

I googled them, but was woundering what the advantage of using hosting accounts with these are?

-can you give some examples please?
-is cpanel/fantastico only if you want to do advance website stuff?

-name a list of some functions you can do with using a hosting service that offer Cpanel + Fantastico, compared to one which doesnt,

 

Cpanel is used to
- create and manage email addresses,
- FTP accounts (for uploading/downloading files, without web browser),
- upload/download files (inside web browser, using File Manager),
- create parked domains (store domains not used by you),
- addon domains (extra domains)
and stuff like that.

Fantastico is used to install Wordpress (blogging software), Gallery2 (image galleries), mailing lists, etc.

Just go to Zendfree.com and open a FREE or Basic Zend account. (hey, it's free!). You can test drive everything there.

 

For me.

Cpanel Hosts are high quality.

Many scripts are working smoothly.

.htaccess are editable.

I really recommended a cpanel host for your websites.

 

Fantastico is cool because you can install Drupal, Joomla, WordPress and a bunch of other stuff with one click.

I wouldn't say it's for "more advanced" websites tho, as it's really more for beginners. Fantastico shortcuts installation in a way and is not necessarily updated with the current versions, and the install is not supported by CMS.

 

Cpanel is currently one of the best control panels out there its got lots of features which makes life of webmaster easy

 

cpanel is the only control panel i've liked frankly...and I've seen quite a few. It has everything you want in a simple interface and the features are pretty great too.
