Hosting multiple domains on one account

    I have recently purchased a business hosting account on which I can host 4 domains by using Addon Domains in control panel.
    Can anyone tell me what sort of impact this type of thing has on SEO etc

    They will all share the same IP address so links from one of your sites to another on the same IP will be ignored or severely devalued for purposes of rankings i.e. google will know the sites have the same IP so it will assume you own all the sites and not consider a backlink from one to the other as a "vote" for your site. If it makes sense to link the sites (they are related subjects) then you can do so without any problem - you just don't get credit for the backlink.

    Hosting is so inexpensive that if you want to cross-link sites you should get accounts on different class C ips (different host).
