How a business can be promoted via Social Networking?

Please tell me how to promote a business at social networking sites?

use the morte popular sites and target and target users in your area

 

2 ways... either build a targeted following.. or use black hat methods and spam the hell out of them

By making people talk about your product or service - your targeted followers and friends circle may hold the keys to the contacts who may actually be buyers for your products. By building up targeted following and friend circle (this is the hardest part) you are building yourself a targeted base to which you can market to, later on.

I totally agree with you.

 

Getting known on a social network requires a lot of work. You will have to build your own network of friends and fans based on their interest, location and so on. Spamming them is not an option, because you will be ignored very quickly

 

Promotion by social networks is the additional marketing tool. It can be helpful but to my mind it can't be the main means of promotion.

Use social networking site that offers blog, forums, groups, social bookmarking and link in profile or domain name in profile.

1) Add your link in your profile and make lots (more than few thousands) friends, your friends will see your link and your profile and their friends too.

2) If any social networking has feature of social bookmarking submit your site there and ask your friends [ friends from same social networking site just like number 1) ] to vote for your link or vote exchange to make your site more visible and traffic.

3) Use blog with link in an article from that social networking, it mean submit an article to blog in that social networking site.

4) If social networking has forums use that properly (don't spam) and use signature link, help if some needs help with reply their topic/thread.

5) Create a groups related to your business or websites and invite many friends (friends from that social networking site)

6) Join as many as groups possible, post in that group with links, make friends to those groups members and ask them to join your groups too.

7) If you can list business than use the business directory or business listing.
