    I don't think it matters too much lol... I have https://www.vgchat.us/forum/ and I sometimes get more traffic from indonesia than I do from the US.

    It depends upon the targeted area. Targeted audience matter so much because If you are running your business worldwide so you should go with .com rather with .asia If you go with .asia extension so you will miss the audience which is outside the asia region.
