The real work starts after installing WP. Try this :

    http://www.google.co.in/search?q=install+wordpress+on+a+domain&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
    Code (markup):

You should have knowledge about a web source (like WP) to become good webmaster. You will need edit, rewrite and re-design so much for developing good site.

Please try to install WP on your localhost first then try to install, manage and edit most of WP popular plugins.

You can review my site for some experience. I use Revolution theme but I edited so much before I publish site to all visitors.

Joomla is CMS (Content Management System) and is designed to have ALOT of members making blogs.

Wordpress is a personal blogging system that only the admin can make a blog.
