But with our new design I am shooting for the big ones.

wow your sites are doing great... i got #2 glass tile, # 4 mosaic tile, #1 & 2 mosaic kits, #1 & 2 italian glass tile... and more but mainly niche kw phrases with low competition... and my seo skills suck...

#2 msn, for both accommodation cornwall/Devon

that gets me 6 hits a day, wooooow sucks.....

need to learn more just broke through to 1oo unique hits a day.

New to site ownership, started my site six months ago, pretty happy with the results:

Google:

Hunting Knives = 1
Hunting Knife = 1
Assorted Hunting Knife terms = 1-5

Msn:

Hunting Knives = 1
Hunting Knife = 2
Again assorted non targeted hunting knife terms

Yahoo:

Hunting Knives = 2
Hunting Knife = 3
Again more assorted terms

Now if I could just figure out how to increase my conversion rate I could make some money!

 

It seems that Google didn't include my webiste into their database. What can I do about that ?

How long does a google listing take??? Are there any good FREE programs to list your site to a bunch of search engines???

 

This question gets asked a lot. I think there was another thread recently the discussed this like a day or so ago. Google listing? I see sites submitted in 2-3 days max. A good Free submit tool can be found at Addme.com. There are numerous others which you can no doubt find by searching through the forum/archives.

 

I think this thread needs everyone to add another component to really make things insightful, like the number of times the term is searched. That way we can see how competitive the term actually is and really "drive it home".

 

I looked in my log files today, and discovered that I'm getting referrals for the term SEO on the new MSN...

I went to have a look, and in the UK, my blog is actually coming up in the #7 spot...

I wasn't expecting that

 

my PR0 site is getting numerous top 10 rankings in MSN, quite a few surprisign number 1s.

I guess the algos are vastly different.

 

Here's a sample of my current rankings:

In Google...

distance learning (position 8)
Searches: 8,256.1 /day

distance learning mba (Top five)
Searches: 6,603.2 /day

distance learning colleges (position 3)
Searches: 2,374.1 /day

In msn... number one for the term "Arabic" (1,836.1 /day), and "clothes"! (4,546.9 /day)

The bulk of this was acheived by always hustling and acquiring new sites, and of course.. the co-op ad network.. Thanks again, Shawn!

 

No.1 for apartment holidays, holiday homes. No.7 for travel community.. quite a few other top 10 rankings

 

i'm also starting to pop up in MSN...?? Kinda strange... I had my best day ever for my week old site yesterday... 400 hits! Sounds like crap to you guys.. but I'm excited! Sorry to get off topic...
