If you are using cPanel hosting, make full cPanel backup from:
    cPanel >> Files >> Backup

Search for WP-DB-Backup - pretty good plugin, but it only backs up your database. You'll need to backup your files (themes, images, etc..) through FTP or through your cPanel.

The WP-DB-Backup plugin also allows you to setup the script so it will e-mail you a database backup on a schedule such as once per day

    Hi
backwpup allows u to backup files or db or both. It sends u a backup zipped file to an email, a filesystem or a cloud. It works ( my personal experience, a successfully missing db restore )

You need a controal panel such as cPanel or DirectAdmin to do that automatically and easily.

Control panels allow you to schedule the backups of all of your WordPress data (all files and databases).

    Backup using cPanel X

cPanel is a popular control panel used by many web host. The backup feature can be used to backup your MySql database. Do not generate a full backup, as these are strictly for archival purposes and cannot be restored via cPanel. Look for 'Download a MySQL Database Backup' and click the name of the database. A *.gz file will be downloaded to your local drive.

There are many ways to back up your wordpress blog. The most preferred way to backup your blog is by using your web host account. Most web hosting providers offer this function. However, there are many wordpress plugin that will do the job easily. You just need to search the plugin list in Wordpress. I would suggest you to use Wordpress DB which is the best in my opinion. I use it to back up my website.
