    Inviting/requesting many people via Email Id will not be the effective way as normal requesting because the requests which you have sent via email will be delivered to their email inbox (they have to click on the link or button which is placed in the email which they have received, to become your friend).

    I think that sending invitations to people on various FB games and applications which require friends to get benefits is a good idea. They are likely to accept an invitation from a stranger just to get some bonuses.
