HOW: can i make money with my forum?

does anyone have some good advice or ideas with how i can make money with www.manlystuff.com

i sell adspace every now again but apart from that i really dno how to make money - i offer a v.i.p package but only about 5 people have purchased it

any ideas?

 

Sell more VIP Packages by giving out more benefits/value to those who buy it. Subscriptions I say is one of the best ways to make money, for your forum Just focus on marketing it better to get those sales in.

Work on getting more members to join.
Think about incentives to get people to go 'premium'- think about who uses your site, and think about what it is they may like out of paying for premium.
I think firstly you'll want to increase member numbers.

 

Depending on how much you are making selling advertising, you may be able to make more by using those spots to insert affiliate links to relative products.

 

If you have a forum newsletter you can sell additional ad spots in that

 

How many members do you have? Do a joint venture, recommend a product to your community while the other person recommends his list to join your forum. This way, you get the affiliate sale as well as new members who might join your forum and upgrade to vip

Converting browsers to buyers is always a struggle. No matter how much effort you put into improving your product or service, most of the price-sensitive visitors will not buy. That being said, I have seen forums use TrialPay in order to effectively increase membership purchases. The way it works it fairly simple. Members of your forum may not be willing to purchase a $20 VIP membership, but they may be willing to sign up for Netflix, buy clothes from the GAP or sign up for a credit card. why don't you try some ad network suck as infolinks?

 

Get more members, and throw in a few ads not that hard of a thought actually doing it depending on your skill level is another story!

 

You should go in google Adsense and show the Add in your site.. From that you can also earn the amount..!!

 

ChrisHeggem has a very good point, people like it when they are getting something for free. They think they are getting a free membership from your site while they are purchasing something they were already thinking about buying. It gives them more incentive to buy the item or subscription plus you get paid too. I think that's a great way to offer memberships but also keep the simple payment that you have now.
