    Why not create a dummy account for them or yourself to use on these sites?

    Did they specifically tell you not to create accounts for them or use them ?

    You could also buy " aged " Accounts for these sites and start using them today !

    I have built a site's readership in the past solely using social networks and it's still as relevant today as it was 5 years ago when I did it.

    Backlinks, SEO etc is great, but slow... I recommend using promotion that entails all of these methods and then you get the best of both worlds!
