Always wanted to learn html, so I went to a local college to sign up for some courses in 1999. I spent the next two years in the webmaster program, then emerged with a few awards and certificates. It wasn't until last year that I began this as a profession, business is snowballing now thanks to word of mouth.

I picked up on SEO over the last 5 or 6 months. I enjoy it as much as web design...maybe even a little more.

When I was 14, I created a plug-in download website for a computer game called Escape Velocity. Ever since than I've loved web development, and I've loved business since I was very little.

lol, now as a 17 year old I now make money online as a business making more money than any of my friends. lol, I love it, they're so jealous. Okay, I admit, I'm still an immature teenager and like to gloat every once in a while. ;)

    POint of advice.

NEVER NEVER tell random friends about your business, especially if it is lucrative or you make lots of money. Trust me on this. I ran some small sites and made some good $$ and decided to flaunt my success..stupid move for many reasons.

Only bring in one or two people into your 'inner circle' of business. These people must be loyal and are only interested in the goals of your business. Wait till your buisness is established before you start letting in more people.

I know there was a poll for "What's Your Age" or something like that. Maybe it was in general chat? I can't remember....I'm definitely not a teenager, must be losing the memory.

Ever notice how so many threads here have game show worthy titles?

I started out of pure boredom. I had enrolled in a graduate studies program that wasn't quite what I was looking for and found myself looking for more ina tiny town. Voila- my Internet connection in 1995. I started tearing apart web pages to find out what made them tick- put up a few of my own- started helping out others who wanted to do the same and it snowballed.

Since I graduated college (1999), I already did so many websites for our cients (we have a small outsourcing firm and at the same time an employee on IT firm) and never realize the benefit of having my own until early last year. My friend gave me a book titled "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", As I finish reading it I got inspired to work on B&S (Business & Self employed) quadrant rather focusing on being employee (E quadrant). I did research on what type of assets should I owned. I created web properties that brings me at least enough extra bucks monthly. Although Im not yet into full time businessman I am looking forward on it these coming years.
