I have recently created a free blog with wordpress www.antifatty.com
(I paid for custom domain though) . And I was wondering if any one knew how to add adsense to my site? If you have done this on your free wordpress blog advice would be much appreciated! (because I am using the free version I am not able to actually change the website code)

Get the adsense deluxe version or get plugins for it

that is a plugin tho, so you can only use it if you upgrade your blog...(i guess i might have to, if there are no better options)

    Hi

I have a free blog version on blogspot and wordpress. As I understand - though I am not sure - do I have to upgrade my blogs to paid ones so that I can get the Google ads working in them? Its almost the same concerns as posed above.

Will the ads be relevant to the matter I have in the blog?

Another question is - do I have to give any credit card details (for bank account purposes) or a normal bank account should do?

Any reply / help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

wordpress.com free accounts don't allow you to have your ads; blogger.com allows.

In my opinion, paying wordpress.com just so you can have your ads is senseless. You might as well put that money and purchase shared hosting. These days hosting is so cheap you can host virtually unlimited sites w/ unlimited freedom for as less as $4 a month. Budget hosts like DreamHost and HostGator will do just fine.

For my Wordpress blog I just intalled an adsense ready theme. You can find plenty of them if you google free wordpress themes. The one I use just has you enter your publisher ID and it places the ads.

    Hope this helps.

Apply for google adsense account first at www.google.com/adsense after confirmation you have to simply copy and paste the adsense code into your blog contents. It will automaticllay generate code according to the contents you have. Remember don't click you your own adsense. It will block your account
