How do I find investors?

I have a few really good ideas for an online company.

Looking for $7-15K in start-up money. Is there any place that has people looking to invest "smaller" amount of money like this?

    Thanks

    1. Family and Friends
    2. Bank - Line of Credit against assets

Basically, if you are looking for such a small amount, a "real investor" is not willing to do paperwork and all the fun stuff.

http://www.prosper.com is another starting point -- cheaper money that way

i think 1st you should make a basic start on your own, then look for investors
just on paper it will be difficult to convince people unless they know u well

You could always try an online site that allowed people to do a real investment. There are tons of people on moneymakergroup.com that are looking for a real brick and mortar investment.

Prosper would probably the best place for you to go to though. I've seen people with good credit getting great rates. If you talk to an interested group leader and share your plan and details, he will probably insure that you get a good rate inside his group.

7-15K is not worth of borrowing on a side. I agree with landex, family and friends is the best source of investment. I am sure you can accumulate at least a part of that and then, if you still need to borrow, you can consider smaller amounts. Highly unlikely, though, you will be able to get anything from a bank. Credit cards may be your way out. Many small companies start like this.
