How do I increase my traffic through advertising on social media?

I have currently been advertising domain names that are for sale but I would like more people to see my advertisements. I use twitter, forums such as this site and I have started using Facebook as well. They are good tools but I would like to know the best way to increase traffic on my posts. I use many hashtags for twitter but is their something else I can do to get to more people? Thank you in advance for the responses!

What's important is that you reach your target group. Twitter, forums and Facebook are only platforms and you will find more people not belonging to your target group than people belonging to your target group. If you make posts on unrelated forums for example car forums, you will have no success as you are not mainly targeting your target group. Out of 10,000 people maybe only 1 person is within your target group. If you listen to the advice given by @egoldzone you will have more success.

Use enticing visuals for your posts. If you want, you can run a contest to initiate engagements among your target audience.

 

Thank you for the responses! I will try joining more domain Facebook groups and advertising on each of them. Hopefully that should help reach more of my target audience. I like the idea of putting visuals on my posts so I think I'll give that a go and see if that increases awareness.

 

Just be mindful of the posting policies of each Group. Facebook Groups are a great place to SHARE content with like-minded people. Most groups (and the people in them), however, don't like to be spammed with advertising posts.

 

Oh boy my favourite topic! Twitter is such a great traffic generator I would really work hard at that platform for selling domains.
Have you tried LinkedIN?
Do you have a website that lists your domains for sale too?
Perhaps a larger strategy like driving all traffic back to your website which acts as an online marketing place for your domain sales would be more effective?
