    Uh. You renew it when it is about to expire. You may do that every year or once every 10 years.

    There is no point in renewing a domain for that long a period. You are just throwing money away. Renew for 2-5 years maximum. Who knows what will happen in the future. I never renew for more than 2, because I believe like many it adds legitimacy in the eyes of Google. It says I'm not a spammer, because spammers (In theory) always register for the shortest period of time.
