How do I place adsense on my blog?

Hi Everyone, just a quick question (as I know you lot are helpful).

Basically, I have just started my own blog (I got a FREE one from wordpress, as I liked their features). The subject of my blog, is coincedentally, about generating wealth, which must be everyone (or at least the vast majority) of peoples' long term objective. So my questions are:

    1. After getting my blog content/layout sorted, what kind of strategies would you recommend in gaining reputation/traffic to my blog?

    2. More importantly, how do I go about putting adsense on my blog and is there any particular methods suited for blogs?

Any help/advice/suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Google has a generic heatmap for placement of ads and what and how many of each type that you can add. Just search for it and use it as a guide. The real headache comes in the blending of the site layout.

Sorry, could you say that in layman's terms! What is this ' generic heatmap' system and how do I search for it? Also, how can I get hold of a good beginners guide (FREE preferably!)

if you want to generate more income from your blog try adding a big adsense rectangle right on top of your content and ads between posts. it doesn't look too great but it's best choice if you want better CTR and more money from your blog.

else, if you want your blog to look nice, and with few ads on it, you can add 2 ads between posts and one in sidebar ;)

Ok fair point. By saying 'good content', how much are we talking? Pages?

Also, by 'good' do you mean informative, unique info. or can it be a collaboration of both.

    Thanks for your info. guys

depends on how you construct your content, just 5% keyword density is fine...a lot of unique content is good...

    both both both...hehe

    good luck

Thanks for your info guys. Much appreciated. Further questions I'm afraid! Sorry.

    1. Does anyone use 'WordPress' to write their blog and if so how are you finding it? Are you earning any money from the blog?

    2. With the right amount of unique content, does 'Wordpress' allow you to put adsense directly onto your blog, or does it have to go through them?

    3. How does one go about placing an 'opt-in form' or a 'mailing list subscribe form'?

Once again sorry about asking so many questions, but I am just hungry for relevant knowledge that I hope DP members can provide me. Also, if you know any good practical guides for what I am doing then please pm me.

    Thanks guys.
