How do I use facebook to it's maximum potential?

So how exactly so I maximize facebook to market my website? I have made an official page for my site, www.TheLoveQuilt.com , and have done these things with it:

1. I have added a 'like' button on my homepage.
2. I add any major updates to my site's facebook page.
3. I suggested the page to all my friends.
4. I have put up a status on my regular page with my URL in it.


What else should I be doing, or be doing more of?

Facebook also allows you to create advertisements that will either prompt users to like your Facebook page, or advertise your website. It's really simple and you can also select your target audience.

 

Is it a free service? Becase I think I'd rather spend my money on adwords and keep my facebook side all free.
