    Hello!
I have a couple of sites where I (try) to sell links. As more and more links are sold, I have a problem managing them. I mean, some links are there for a year, others are supposed to go down in a few days, others in a months time.
How do handle your links? Do u keep a note or do u have some specific software?

You can use excel/Wordpad or existing seo applications or a custom software.

I plan to develop my own software to track such things..

I have a selfmade XML file with expiration date whithin. On my server html pages are generated dinamically checking that XML and does not display expired links.

Currently, a few days before each expiration date I need to send manual emails to ask for a renew. But I'm planning to do automatically too.

I use Google Calendar to manage all my link sales :)

You can also set alert to send you a note (email) 1 or few days before the link expires. It is very useful for other reminders as well (like domain expiry etc).

    (Begin Shameless Plug)

I'm going to plug my own solution here - but it is what I use to manage text link sales, for the same reason - I need to manage expiration dates for the text links.

I use mySimpleAds Ad Management to create the text link, and in it I set the expiration date of the ad. That way it can be a year or a month and it's been set and I forget it.

I like the idea of contacting the text link purchaser at the end of expiration - might need to add something like that into it :).
