How do you do it? Finding time to run a site???

I'm a mother of two, run a fairly popular site. Now we all know that content is king (along with SEO), but I find it so hard to stretch myself between kids, the house & the website. Is there anybody out there running a site, with children? My aim is to write 2 article a day, but I'm just stretching myself too thin. Not only that, but I also work. I'm literallly working non stop. I just want to know if other people out there are in the same boat.

Being single with no kids is a real luxury I enjoy and that makes it possible for me to run a site. I don't know how I could do it otherwise.

I've often found that my little one often distracts me to the point of where I only get done maybe half of what I needed to. If I get lucky I get permission to put head phones on so I can tune out the excess noise but, those are far and few between.

I'm only working on a site, it's not fully running yet.

I'm not married and no kids :p, but I work full time and sometimes don't get time to work on my websites at all. There's always so much to do.. content and images for website, new sections, article writing for my Cooking site and another SEO site i'll be lauching soon, link building and submissions, affiliate programs... and the list goes on. I often have quarrels with my friends and family for not giving them time, and I still don't get enough time to work on my sites :p

I don't know whether we find time to run our sites in the Post-Married life :)

I think there may be other ways around this. The problem appears to be building content. I suggest pulling content from various sources such as free for reprint articles and mix them with your own content. The other option is to hire someone to write articles or post contents. Of course that means paying abit of money up front. If anyone has better ideas, I'm all ears :)

    Thanks for the replies :)

I do add the occasional freebie & also sometimes pay to have articles written but obviously this eats into my budget, and found the quality wasn't to my expectations. I have found a new writer who seems promising, the proof will be in the pudding when I receive her articles in the next day or so.

The funny thing is that work wants me to return full time, and I have an incredibly cruisy job, which would give me approximately 2-3 solid days of working on my site, while being paid. And my boss has said dozens of times that he is fine with me doing my own private stuff at work, as long as my job gets done. But, I want to be home with the children, they're only little for such a short amount of time, and that time with them is precious.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy what I'm doing, and get a thrill from seeing my site expanding. It's grown so much over the past few months. But sometimes (like last night when I posted) I just feel burned out.

I am so lucky to have a great team helping me on the forums, without them I'd be swamped.

I tell myself that I need to designate specific hours to work on the site. But you know what it's like...you start on an article & become so engrossed that time slips away. But I would like to make more of an effort to designate my time in a more efficient way.

I gave myself the day off, which was nice for a change. But tomorrow it's back to it.
