How do you get more fan page fans?

I have a couple of fan pages on facebook and wondered what is the best method to attract more fans to the pages?

I probably don't put as much time into this as I should but there are a couple of good things you can be doing.

Are you giving people anything for free in order for them to sign up? If not, you should.

Additionally, are you suggesting people become a fan of the page? if not, why not? Add friends with similar interests and use lists with privacy settings to protect your personal info while building a list.

 

Another idea would be to start linking your fanpage to other sites that you usually use(for instance, put a signature in this forum discussion board with the link to your page!).

In addition, it is also smart to see other Fan Pages that share the same interests as yours and start adding people that interact in their as your friends and then recommend them to your page.

We are trying a contest... But due to recent changes with the Facebook TOS, you can't promote a contest on your fanpage without the approval from Facebook.

So we are promoting it from our website and other third party websites but it just doesn't have the same power as having the contest promoted directly on FB.

We didn't have time to program this, but next time we run a contest we are going to offer more entries for people that tweet and invite other people to the contest.

Without other entries from invitations, the people that enter the contest don't want more people to enter the contest, of course.

The other solution to get more fans, make a killer product or service. Don't expect people to join your fan page, and stay engaged if you product is ordinary or doesn't provide any benefit to the fans

 

You just have to interact with them every day. And ocassionally tell them to invite their friends.

 

You can get more fans by participating in relevant public Facebook groups. But don't spam. You'll get banned.

 

contests are a great way...

 

Gathering fans in a facebook fan page is not my cup of tea but I can give a tip. There is an ebook called 15000 unique visitors by adam in warriorforum that explains how to gather fans to a fan page and how to generate $500 a day from it. I read it but I am not yet ready to test if it works. But the idea seems to be effective. You can google it if you want a copy since it is free.

To attract visitors, You have to make your profile more intersting, so that people get attacted and they add you..

 

in the fan pages, attract the content, make your profile interesting......and much more.....

 

I prefer using groups instead of fanpages. It may sound stupid, but people tend to join a group faster then become a fan, just because they really feel part of something...

 

you have to shear it to your friends mean there is the option suggest it to you friends

 

To join a group is a better option and saves u more time.

The best way to get more fans is just ask your friends to share your page with their friends and do this virally.

 

Just update your page with latest news or fresh content also invite friends

You can upload some thing really interesting for the end users and then share all these new updates among your friends to put their expert opinion about the topics or services.
