How do you get more traffic to your website?

I would recommend 2 things:
1- Start commenting on others blogs and make the comment seem realistic and relevant. This would certainly help getting traffic.
2- Guest post. This gets a lot of traffic if you are doing it right.

 

You know how I get most of my free traffic?

Social media sites.



Every time I post, I share that post EVERYWHERE I can.

Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Digg, Delicious, Pinterest, and even to my email list.

If even 2 people from each social site click the link, then it's worth my effort.

Also, a HUGE tip is to build an email list.

Imagine if you had a list of 500 people who you could blast your new blogs out each time you posted?

Include high valued information or articles in your website, promote it through many ways to make your website well known. I do think SEO is the best way to increase unique visitors. Because it targets keywords it brings in visitors looking for a service who are not aware of the site and therefore many different visitors. Also, I've bought some valuable gigs on SEOClerks.com and had amazing results so far.

 

Yup, i agree, but one thing to add is that free traffic usually takes awhile to become more effective.

It is not like solo ads whereby you feels its impact instantly.

When you say "a lot of forum posting" what is a lot?

 

Absolutely agree with you, I have done the same. Also, I use Google+ to extend my blogs to both republic and particular community(Talking the same thing like our blog contents).

Traffic comes more and more. I have never pay for any back links.

 

Think once again about your SEO strategy
since you said you aren't getting search traffic at all.
You need to optimize your pages and posts using long tail keywords
with low competition.
Focus more on quality of your content, because low bounce rate is
also big signal for search engines!

3. when you`ll collect mass of TA (mabe in several months) you can carefuly direct (stream) part of it to your site.

To drive more traffic to your site you can use the power of social media. like Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. And then post something interesting and eye-catchy. And build visible links to your homepage on these platforms. If you stay active you should achieve soon some results.

 

Even in next 10 years you won't get any drastic change in traffic, till your blog justify the existence.

Try writing some valuable posts and share it with your network on social network (don't just spam, share only if it is worth sharing). Try some engaging activities with polls, surveys about latest trends and interest of people around you

you need to have a big page on FB or hire a big page having admin guy.

 

People have provided some helpful advice about developing content and gaining great backlinks. I think making sure you use keywords that draw in the right amount of traffic balanced out with the least amount of competition is a good formula.

 

Bro that is a little drastic, if your blog was around for 10 years you would get a lot of search engine traffic just because it is so established and if you posted good content regularly.

High quality content is great. The fastest way to get traffic is by paid advertising using a variety of methods. It depends on your budget.

 

I'm not quite sure what high quality content is. I wonder if people actually knows what it means cuz they say to do it a lot. Is high quality content something that helps a reader?
