Whenever I'm on the web I want to spend all my time building my business. Unfortunately, I end up spending more time reading how to build my business than actually spening time building it. I don't know if this is normal? Any suggestions?

Best thing to do is when you've found something you think might work put it into action and don't do anything else until it has succeeded/failed

I run into the same exact problems every single day. Funny thing is, before I go to bed every night I tell myself "Okay, tomorrow I'm going to make things happen." of course I wake up and read about improving my business and life once again. I'm 20 and still wanting to learn things, but I do need to start taking action if I want to get where I'm going. Best of luck to you.

If you are at all into reading Books, Novels, Short Stories or whatever, pick a subject you enjoy that is no where near related to Your Job or Work...

Like the old saying: "If Your Married Never Go to Bed Mad", take a book to bed and read a bit to get your mind off of the events of the day so you will get a good nites sleep and keep your mind off of Business until the next business day...

I like reading SciFi Short Stories, I finish 20 or so pages, the Story is over and that keeps my mind occupied until I fall asleep...

The *Other Truth in Life* is: "Absence makes the Heart Fonder", it also works for business... When your going nowhere take a break and get away from things... Sometimes: "The More You Try The Worse You Will Make It"...

    hehe...

This is just because we unconscious want to escape from the work tasks. I used to do it all the time before(including checking stats, updating weigth, check keywordrankings, checking forums). Now I atleast spend more time on the work and spare the rest until I'm done with my part-time goal(submitting into 50 directories, create content etc) and then decides if I should do some more or do something new or read something interesting or something else.

Anyway, when you work for someone, you have a boss that picks your neck.. you feel a pressure to do your tasks. Working for oneself means that you need to create the pressure yourself(much less ofcourse). Doing something interesting make this process much easier.

well, you need to explore more and have more knowledge about how to build your business and if you already have the idea you will have more time for other things. the only thing you need is to maintain and add more interesting topics to expand that business of yours...
