How do you make a GIF smaller?

    Hey ppl,

I have a gif banner that i need downsized from 34kb to 30kb.

Dimensions should stay the same, and quality can go down a bit.

Tried with adobe stuff but couldnt get it to do it. It just got bigger

Anybody know how do you make it smaller?

When you open it in Photoshop, go to "Image -> Image Size". (Alt+Ctrl+I)

Make sure you have selected "Constrain Proportions". Then simply change the 34 to 30 and click OK, and you're done.

He/she means the file size, not the image size.
    -----
Just open it with Photoshop > Save for Web > Then choose like 64 or something colors.

dancom is right. Mess with the settings like # of colors and dither, it will tell you what the new file size is in the preview window before you save it.
