How do you make good tweets

WHat would you say makes a good tweet.

Also, where are good places/websites to promote your twitter account?

 

I think any good information is a good tweet
Like I had this update earlier today about one of the heads of vBulletin retiring and it got several replies on Twitter. (you can scroll up and see the conversation on tweetboard)

When I'm scanning down the stream looking for something interesting, I'll check out things I don't know or any tech/design news.

I guess you have to ask what you look for when checking out tweets from other people, that is the type of stuff you should talk about.
It's different for everyone, just whatever you like to chat about and try to make it funny or interesting.

 

Well it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're focused on building relationships, then a good tweet is something that helps me to get to know you better. It's important to me to know that you are a real person. If all I see from you are quotes and promotional tweets, I will assume that you are a bot and not a human.

 

Just be creative and try to appeal to someone.. what would you like to learn about...

 

I still don't Know but you Have to Look at What Appeals to you from the People that you are following and then Work from there, Also when you Make a Tweet you Also have to Leave Room for a Retweet

 

An appealing/informative blurb is the perfect tweet!

 

your right . people can pretty much decide if its a real person tweeting or a bot.

 

Be different and try to make creative tweets and ofcourse with different information.
People can then recognize it.

 

Well if you have relevant followers and you are tweeting relevant things so they are good tweets.

 

I make sure I stand on a solid branch that wont break when I stand on it. I flap my wings and chirp at a high pitch. this usually works well. lol... sorry I couldnt resist. Give a quote and then link to your blog with your offer on your site. use a hook to get them to the blog with the offer there and useful info. post a link to a funny video that you embedded on your site from youtube and have your offer there.

 

Say something interesting and say it yourself! Don't use the normal lines and with your link in it. People who follow you should be intersted in your tweets. So follow only people who are relevant for you and not just anyone!
