    You have to make friends and become involved in a network of like-minded people, thereafter you can use their different option for promoting your product such as PM, bulletin option, group message board & through blogs etc. If you succeed in myspace, you can find easier to get success in friendster as it too works along the same principles as MySpace.

    It also depends on how hard you hit it. Flat out spamming will get you banned. Take a cue from the 'band promo' pages, though.
