How do you promote your site.?

It interesting to know for me.
I want to promote my site in Digg or somewhere else but I don't know HOW?
If it's possible explain what I should make!

Start submit with feed, or API, When your posting on your site, digg publishing, too. Try to find menu at your profil or your account. take little time but the results fantastic.
