    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

How do you select types of ads(non-relevant) with adsense?

I have a classifieds site and its pulling up ads that are relevant to getting a classifieds site up and running... I would think that I want to select different (maybe irrelevant) or atleas NOT that targeted... etc...

    any advice? thanks

I don't know if there is a way to do that except for taking the time to filter unwanted ads when you see them.

I also have a classified ad themed site, but I never get adsense ads that relate to setting up a classified ad site. I mostly get ads for classified ad sites themselves.

Are you an online classified site? Would you mind sharing the url?

Google decides whcih ads to appear on your site based on the content of your site. If you change the content of your site, the ads will eventually change as well. Do you think that is whay you and your visitors are looking for?? I don't think so.

Having relevant ads will increase your clcik through rate thereby more money ;)

You are choosing to advertise with a contextual advertising network through AdSense. That means the ads will be based directly on the content of your site[pages]. If you're looking for something non-contextual, you could try look at the networks such as ValueClickMedia, AdBrite, or even BidVertiser. These are all non-contextual networks which will display 'whatever' ads. So in the end, you need to choose which network is best for you.
