How does google choose which links to consider as backlinks?

    Just wondering about the discrepancies among the top SEs in regards to backlinks?

    Does anyone have an idea? For example most of my links that msn counts are pages in googles db but it doesnt count it... :-(

    Love to finally know why...

    sure we generally know what it is but we dont know all the details right? or am i wrong?

    i have seen the algo but i thought that it wasnt exact.
