How is it beneficial for PR?

I am new to all this and want to know that How social networking sites can be beneficial for improvement in page rank of a site.

if they giving you a DoFollow links...

 

hopefully you get some of your targeted customers whether it's dofollow or nofollow. the ultimate goal is that your information is in front of your customer.

 

most social sites are nofollow, that means they wont help you on PR. however for traffic they could help.

 

Social Networks do nothing for PR.

I've tried submitting to lots using a service before and I got a huge increase in traffic (good!), but it tailed off after just 3-4 days (bad) and more importantly it didnt do anything at all for sales (bad).

Waste of time IMHO.

 

its only link and very fast go on google index only save ur website these social network sites and ur PR is not improve if u submit ur link in social network websites ok dear

 

You get a lot of traffic from social networks if you do it right, but most of them are no-follow so they will not do anything for your PR.

 

It's all about easy access to information. You'll get more vistors, more links, and more people talking about your company if you make everyone aware you exist. That's the beauty of twitter and facebook for example.

 

I have heard that Google do not like allowing any dofollow links.

 

As per PR, SM sites are not relevant.

As per traffic - great, if you use some tools out there.

But the problem is most of SM sites traffic converts poorly. And, when speaking about conversions, even FB advertising CTR is extremely low...

So combine low CTR and low CR on your site and ... I believe SM sites are hype and only suitable for big corporations and their brand building... Very few direct response marketers use them with positive ROI

 

you heard wrong. Dofollow links give PR juice, while nofollow don't.

 

They can't be.
