How Many Clients Per Year?

Posted this in another forum but didn't get that many responses so thought I'd give a shout here:

I am curious as to how many SEO clients you can handle per year?
This would be for full SEO on your client sites from coding to linking to everything else you do. No PPC clients.

If you are a firm with many SEO employees, how many client sites do you task them to work on in a years time frame?

Thanks for the feedback in advance...just working on a business case for my employer.

For consulting there is only a certain number of hours you can fit in to the day so this restricts you.

However for general site promotion you can pay people to work for you on certain projects such as directory submission which greatly increases the available time for consulting.

The best thing is to decide your yearly salary. Divide this into the number of hours you are prepared to work and then you get your hourly rate. Take on as much business as you can at this rate and then when you can't take on any more clients due to time constraints start to increase your hourly rates a bit at a time until the demand for your services slows down.

For the others...I'm not looking for rates. I'm looking for total clients serviced per year.

    nat_king1:
SEO pricing varies WAY TOO MUCH depending on what a client wants and NEEDS, then how reputable (portfolio, etc) a firm is and what they CAN charge a client.

    Lets stay focused people :D

    edited to add:
I am also aware that one client could take up more time based upon the situation but just looking for an average from people.
