    Hp in september 3 years old 12-14 hours / day but use to leet it on for days (6-10 days betwen shut downs)

    on my laptop all bussinesaplications like mail and so on are runnig, so my laptop runs from wake up in the morning til go sleep in the night.... my desktop alre only used for chat, surfing, gaming and coding...

    Most laptops are not meant to be on 24/7.

    yes, some of my clients recommend Toshiba, as per their suggestions hard parts are good enough.

    And as per response on this topic, I feel it does not matter. A well known brand can endure 16-18 hours for surfing/coding/gaming as far as I keep it in a cool place.
