How many of you actually know to use photoshop?

To be frank i always wanted to learn photoshop but as soon as i see all the tools in photoshop I think its too hard to learn.How many of you know to use photoshop properly
and is there any free video tutorials for photoshop i mean covering all topics.

 

same is the case with me I also have a keen interest to learn Photoshop on a commercial bases.I know little bit but I'm not a perfectionist in it.
You can find out the videos on you tube just type what you need to know.

 

it's easy to learn.. just have the desire to learn.. about the tutorials, once u downloaded and installed it, u can find the tutorials there.. also u can learn through videos on youtube ad some other sites on the net..

 

First of all, nothing is too hard to learn if you have certain desire to learn it. It may be only time taking but hard - never.
I am using Adobe Photoshop since 2004, and as the program expands, I am still learning and learning.
I can not learn you, but I can give you some advices. Video or graphic (textual) tutorials is joust what you prefer. I ,as said, am using Photoshop since 2004. No one did teach me. I learned everything I know by myself because i had desire to learn it, and to be better at it. I started with online tutorials, and when you get to know with basic Photoshop than you can do some stuff yourself, playing with different results, filters, textures, colors, etc.

 

First you have to learn some basic about photoshop,it can be easy for you .start from youtube tutorial ..and learn first layer concept it could be better for start designing on photoshop.

 

if you want to learn photoshop, search for online tutorials, google it. You have to be patient, and as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. You have to learn to use the tools, then from that you will have a freehand on how you can explore photoshop.

 

I do want to learn it and i am deeply interested but never had chance to even look at it because of my work

I even had the same situation like you.. I thought it is tough to learn photoshop. Later, I came across many tutorials and it is now very easy for me.
If you get used to it, photoshop is a super cool software.. Just browse some tutorials in photoshop.. It will be easier if you start from the basic.

As for me, my Photoshop skills are bad. I'm trying to learn more about it, read books and manuals, watch video tutorials... It's interesting fact, that my GIMP skills much better.

 

Photoshop is actually pretty easy once you know your way around the tools. I suggest purchasing a used book from amazon.com about the version of Photoshop that you have. There are also sites such as http://psd.tutsplus.com/ and http://tutvid.com/.

Keep in mind there are other Adobe products that specialize in what type of graphics work you are doing. If you want vector images (which is best for illustrations and logos), then use illustrator. For printing flyers you can make the design in Photoshop and finish it up in InDesign.

I don't use photoshop it's not meant for me

 

I'm using photoshop from the version 6.0 and now CS5.

 

I use Photoshop CS5 Extended and I think I have a pretty good understanding of how the tools work and everything. :]

 

I used to use PS, and found it hideous, but thankfully most of my work is web related so I get to use Fireworks instead. Yay, Fireworks

 

I love PS ... i am using that for 8 years now ...

 

I have learned photoshop by video tutorials.. Go for it they give you exact definitions and it would be easy to grasp.

Yes I also use photoshop when i do webdesigning and graphics editing.
Just like what others said, start from the basics.
