I'm a visual person and so I use Dreamweaver most of the time unless something funny happens and I need to edit the code.

PSPad is all you need. At least all I need when writing HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/sql.

yeah, if you familiar with css, notepad is the best solution :) but if you want to deal with table tag, wysiwyg is the best

i use aceHtmlfreeware texteditor its nice ! iv tried dreamweaver and frontpage! i dont like dreamweaver at all! maybe i just didnt give it enuf time!
i still use front page to cre8 new templates, layouts tables &2 find things and fix things !
but never save anything in Frontpage!
    alwasy notepad or AceHTML!
    Ace is my choice!
but im new to all this!
wysiwyg alwasy makes a mess and uses codes i dont like!
Tho its nice to be able to just click the mouse 5 times and have a webpage!

WYSIWYG are totally SEO unfriendly though aren't they? Thats what i have been always led to believe.

How much effort is it to clean the code up??

Does CMS usually produce much cleaner code than WYSIWYG?

many thanks an advance for your answers.

I have been using Dreamweaver from this first one way back in the day.....but I would use a cms over DW now because you can get things done alot faster.
