How much could I get for my site.

Hey, I am just looking for a general quote for my site.

I'm not positive that im willing to sell or not, it's just that my life has taken a huge turn and im not sure how much time im going to have.

    Heres some information:

    Site URL: http://www.pixeldynamics.org

    Site Age: Around a month

Revenue: $500.00 USD - In less than a week. I stopped advertising after a week so I could work on getting other things done and not have to worry about it to much.

    Other Information:

I would give the buyer everything... Forums, Domain name, etc... I would also give them the option of using the same hosting company. Which charges $3 a month.

Besides the hosting fee, everything else is paid for. I bought the domain name for a year about 4 months ago.

With a little advertising, and for somone with plently of time on their hands you could be making a fair bit with this site.

    Thanks a lot,
    - Nick

    It's too hard to say.

If you managed $500 with advertising, if that advertising was free and you get $500 pretty stable every week, then it'll be about $14,000-$20,000 I think. But obviously that sounds like it isn't happening, so I shouldn't think it's worth anything over $1k right now, but you'll probably have a hard time finding a buyer.

I would suggest advertising the service, keep it going for at least 2 months, work out your sums, get pictures of your proof, and then request a price check :)

Yes I do. But im not gonna bother taking screen shots since im not positive that im willing to sell.

But I simply can't keep the site up and running anymore. I don't have much time and my days are getting more and more hectic with each one that passes.

I simply advertised on forums for free. Also, I put a small ad in my signature at a few diffrent webmaster forums.

If anyone is really interested in this, feel free to PM me and I can get you screen shots and any other information that you may require.

I also have MSN and Yahoo, so feel free to PM me requesting the handles.

Yes, those writers who wish to stay will. Also, its very easy to find writers if you need them.

I pay them 50%. You could pay as much as you like of course.

It's worth maybe $100. Anyone could probably have the same success advertising in webmaster forums like DP, SP, NP

How in the world do you figure that? If the website made 500$ Profit in 1 week, why would it be worth 100$.

I think he means that what he's done to make that money hasn't been anything original and unique. Anyone could make that site, find posters and advertise in their signatures. I also don't think it made $500 100% profit?

I have to agree with dzcap here. First, what you're doing is very easily duplicated with a fresh domain. Second, you say the site made five hundred bucks, but you're providing a service for that money. I don't know which exactly of your services you sold, but let's say for easy example you sold three of your premium plans and a handful of your forum installs. So, in exchange for that money you need to produce 1800 posts on your customers forums and do the several installs for the other customers. Are you hiring people to do those posts and installs? If so, how much is it costing? Your profits would be the revenue minus the costs, you see hosting isn't your only cost to consider here. How steady is that labor source? You've only been in business a week, how do you know the people working for you won't quit next week and setup their own service under cutting your price? If you're doing the work yourself, then what you're selling is a job not a business. How many hours does it take you to accomplish this work? Divide the money earned by the amount of hours it took to earn it and you find your hourly wage.
